HELP
Step 4: Symbol Draft
  • PURPOSE: assign symbols for words.
  • Switch keyboard from English to SUN font by clicking the keyboard icon on the bottom right side of your screen and selecting SUN font.
  • When a word does not have a symbol, ask the following questions:
    1. Can the word be attached to existing symbol?
    2. Can an extension be made instead of a new character?
    3. If the answers to the above questions are negative, contact the SUN Director to create a new symbol that follows the 3 golden rules of SUN (Simple, Intuitive, Universal), then type the word and continue the translation into symbols. The word will be changed to a symbol in step 7.
    4. Proper nouns are created using the meaning of the name or something significant about the person or place.
